Breast Revision 2
Back To Procedure
Description:
Sixty-one year-old lady who had silicone breast implants for nearly 30 years and did not have a regular follow-up. She lived with severe capsular contracture. An MRI indicated that the capsules were calcified and the implants had ruptured. The patient no longer wanted implants but required a lift. At surgery, a total capsulectomy (removal of breast capsule and contents) was performed in addition to a breast lift. The patient is seen one month after surgery. Her incisions will turn pale over the next 6-12 months.
