Blepharoplasty 20
Back To Procedure
Description:
This 62 year old black male had one of the more difficult problems requiring blepharoplasty. While his upper lids had a moderate redundancy of skin and fat, the lower lids hung is ‘festoons.’ Furthermore, the lower lids had very poor tone. The lack of tone predisposed the patient for the post-operative complication of ‘ectropion.’ That is where the lower lid is pulled down and away from the eyeball. Excision of festoons was combined with lid tightening in this four-lid blepharoplasty.
