‘Mini’ tummy-tucks remove a small amount of skin, plicate the rectus muscles and leave the belly-button alone. The latter moves down a little as a result of the tightening. (In regular abdominoplasties it is repositioned because the skin is drawn down so much). Liposuction thins out the abdominal fat. Few patients are candidates for ‘mini’ abdominoplasty but this 39 year old was. The side views are missing but the lower bulge was eliminated.
