Blepharoplasty 100
Back To Procedure
Description:
This is a 75 year old lady with ‘blepharochalasis.’ This means that the skin of the upper lid overhangs and limits her field of vision. ‘Ptosis’ is a different condition where the lid itself droops and encroaches on the visual field. She underwent a blepharoplasty under local anesthetic for functional as well as cosmetic reasons. Ptosis is not necessarily related to redundant skin, but most often the muscle that elevates the eyelid. Surgery for this condition is displayed elsewhere on the website.
