Silhouette InstaLift™
What is Silhouette InstaLift™?
Facial aging is discernible by the presence of fine lines, wrinkles, deep creases, and sagging cheeks and jowls. Various non-surgical and minimally invasive procedures have been developed over the course of recent decades to address many of these issues. However, for years, facelift surgery was the only way to lift the sagging underlying tissues of the mid face and jowls. With the development of Silhouette InstaLift™, the sagging mid face region can be rejuvenated without invasive surgery. Called “The Facelift of the Future,” Silhouette InstaLift™ is a minimally invasive procedure that lifts the deeper tissue layers of the mid face and jowls to improve facial contours and reverse signs of aging. Who Can Benefit?
Moderate Sagging in the Mid Face
Aging and gravity combine forces to pull the facial tissues downward. Over the years, the mid face region loses its youthful height and definition as the sagging tissues plummet toward the jawline. Silhouette InstaLift™ rejuvenates the face by correcting sagging skin in this precise area. The procedure lifts and re-contours the mid face while stimulating collagen production for long-lasting results. Judicious placement of the support sutures at a lower level does the same for the jowls.
Nasolabial Folds and Marionette Lines
Wrinkles around the nose and mouth, such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines, are a common sign of aging. These lines tend to become increasingly deeper with time. Lifting the tissues of the mid face reduces the presence of these wrinkles and restores a younger appearance.
Good Skin Quality and Thickness
Many individuals who have sagging skin in the mid face region retain good skin quality and thickness. While patients who have severely thinning and sagging skin may require facelift surgery, those who have moderate skin thickness and health can enjoy the benefits of Silhouette InstaLift™. This procedure can lift the skin to rejuvenate the appearance of the mid and lower face.
Non-surgical Candidates
Not all individuals who are interested in anti-aging treatments will be ideal candidates for facelift surgery or facial injectables. A traditional facelift is an invasive surgery with a recovery period that some patients cannot or do not want to undergo. Likewise, patients who could benefit from facial injectables may not be interested in the long-term maintenance treatments that they require. For these individuals, Silhouette InstaLift™ provides a perfect solution to effectively correct mid face and jowl sagging with no surgery and long-lasting results.
The Silhouette InstaLift™ Experience
Silhouette InstaLift™ is a comfortable, office treatment that typically lasts 45 minutes. The surgeon gently inserts a needle into the treatment area and guides it through the subcutaneous tissue. Sutures with bidirectional cones are used to elevate the skin of the mid face and cheeks. The subdermal tissue is repositioned on the bidirectional cones, which hold the skin in an elevated position. The biomedical copolymer of Silhouette InstaLift™ mechanically fixates the tissue until the sutures are reabsorbed and collagen production increases. At this point, the patient’s own tissues assume the responsibility of holding the skin in a more youthful position. The procedure has immediately noticeable, natural-looking results that improve over the following three months as more collagen is produced. The results and effects of Silhouette InstaLift™ gradually and naturally improve the volume and shapeliness of the face, restoring youthful and pleasing facial definition.
